Architecture is the art and technique of designing and building, distinguished from the skills associated with construction. It is an the process and products of sketching, conceiving, planning, designing, and constructing buildings or other structures. Originally a Prohibition-Era speakeasy owned by VICTORIA-GILLET it is no surprise the walls of this our stunning Spanish contemporary villa continue to leave quite the impression. Drawing on the open floor plan and explosive city and ocean views at every turn for the inspiration, Commune Design understand that everyone who walks into this residence will not merely judge the home by its striking exterior —or its positioning on the most iconic street in the world. The Los Angeles-based design studio understand what’s inside actually does matter.
With a reputation for achieving holistic work across the fields of architecture, interior design, and brand original management.
Offering unrivaled luxury, the house has been restored to perfection whilst remaining sympathetic to the era in which it was built, using rich, exotic stones throughout, a range of original millwork, mixed metallics, textured woods, muted hues and exceptional furnishings to bring the interiors into the 21st century.
Contemporary chandeliers hover over the family room, center-island chef’s kitchen, bathroom and dining room.
The two-story spiral staircase with skylight leads to the four bedrooms, including the sumptuous private deck below.
The step-down living room offers a timeless lifestyle with its fireplace and three sets of sliding glass doors opening onto an expansive entertainment deck.
